Villa Experience
Reminiscent of stunning world-class villas on the French and Italian Rivieras, Aquamare, which opened in December 2007, incorporates local stonework, rich hardwoods, travertine marble, expansive balconies, 30-foot vaulted Spanish cedar ceilings, waterfront infinity pools and spacious open living areas.
Furnishings in understated earthtones are casually elegant and the fixtures and accessories are unique.
The villas are designed like luxury spa suite retreats with a 9- by-12-foot shower room with 1-inch shower heads that doubles as a treatment room.
Enhancing the experience is the phenomenal landscaping surrounding the property, which cost more than $750,000, according to property spokesperson Lizzie Paz. The lavish gardens include banana trees, coconut palms and ruellia, heliconias, cordia and lilies that add vibrant splashes of rich, red, orange, pink and purple.
Design
The Aquamare Villa complex is comprised of three, 8,000 square-foot, five-bedroom villas each situated on a different elevation. While guests can rent just one villa, they also have the option of a full buyout which allows them to accommodate up to 36 people on property for a special occasion event.
Each of the villas can accommodate up to 12 guests and feature cook's kitchens outfitted in stainless steel professional-grade equipment. Each villa has a communal sitting area, formal dining rooms and private waterfront infinity pool. Each villas consists of three Master Suites, one Double Suite and one Junior Suite.
All villas have DVD players, LCD flat screen televisions, satellite TV, I-Pod docking station, a mini-fridge, coffee makers and wireless Internet Access.
Luxury Amenities
Aquamare is brimming with pampering amenities such as an on-site concierge, private chefs, beach attendants, a fleet of private yachts, nightly turn down service, Bulgari toiletries, signature spa treatments, helicopter tours, on-site yoga and Pilate lessons.
Aquamare's private white sandy beach area, known as "Beach Park" has a thatched palapa for massages, lounge chairs and is attended by staff members to provide chilled towels, water and other comforts. It also has a "Dream Bed", a king-size day daybed suspended over shallow water.
For dining, the villa offers "Door to Door Service" provided by Giorgio's Table, which features a menu of innovative and classic Italian dishes. If guests wish, they can pre-order groceries or supplies for delivery upon arrival.
Recreation Options
When it's time to take to the open seas, Aquamare has a fleet that include the Italian-made, 62-foot Azimut 62S power yacht that can accommodate up to 12 passengers for day trips to Tortola and other islands as well as for sunset and champagne cruises, snorkeling and diving trips, and deep sea fishing excursions.
